The Seventh-day Adventist Church, Vaughansfield hosted a health fair conducted by the National Health Fund (NHF), that assisted over 50 persons to access numerous health services and were able to register for government health benefits on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, on the Church Grounds.
The programme which was held at the Vaughnsfield Church is a part of an ongoing effort of the NHF to reach senior citizens and other needy individuals, who would not normally access some of the agency’s services and the leadership of the Church is happy to facilitate the process.
“I was happy for the numerous community and church members who benefited from the programme,” said Pastor Maurice McGhie “persons from long distances, who heard about the programme also came and accessed the services.”
“The Seventh-day Adventist Church continues to make its numerous church facilities available to government and non-government agencies like NHF for the welfare of the communities that we serve” ended Pastor Mcghie.
Individuals who turned out for the event were able to have blood-pressure, blood-sugar, HIV/Syphilis tests, and other health checks.
