The Community Services and Women’s Ministries Departments of West Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists led out in feeding over 230 persons during their monthly Street Feeding Programme on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at the Open Heart Charity Mission, on Orange Street, Montego Bay and at the Cornwall Regional Hospital Out-Patient Clinic located at West Jamaica Conference Grounds.

The West Jamaica Conference’s leadership has expressed its delight to continue to impact lives through the feeding programme.

“It is a joy to give back to the community, and see the smiles on the faces of the people who have been served,” said Mrs. Carol Smythe-James, Women’s Ministries Director of the West Jamaica Conference, “I believe it is an excellent thing for us to give back to the out-patients and assiduous workers at the hospital and also to the street people. “We can bring Jesus to the community by sharing a hot meal,” she ended.

The on-going feeding programme is a welcomed assistance to the entity from the Church organization.

“We are truly appreciative of the partnership of West Jamaica Conference with us,” said Miss Sandra Henry, the Operations Manager for the Open Heart Charity Mission. “It is truly a blessing to have them on board once per month to alleviate the suffering and hunger of our clients,” she emphasized.
