We continue, this week, to share updates from programmes surrounding the Mission Project 2019 Initiative and this week we are sharing some highlights from the Petersville Church projects. We hope that as you read and view you will be inspired to do your part wherever you are in the Conference. We are 41 days (as of Sabbath, December 8) away from the main event.
The events are organized according to the time that they occurred.
The Church conducted a Health and Wellness Impact in the community of Petersville on the grounds of the Petersville All Age School. The event included health presentations, blood pressure and blood sugar checks done by Nurse Campbell and Nurse Coke-Gooden from the Westmoreland Health Department. There were also HIV and Syphilis rapid testing done by Mr. Jason Spence also from the Health Department and eye screening done by a team from Professional Eyecare. Over sixty persons benefited from the various services. Persons came from surrounding communities such as Beeston Spring and New Works.
Twelve of our members gave the Petersville All Age School a ‘face-lift’ by repainting the school, doing plumbing work on the bathroom and painting of the concrete water tank.
