Things are warming up as we draw nearer to the Mission Project 19 execution date. We continue, this week, to share updates from programmes surrounding the Mission Project 2019 Initiative and this week we are sharing some highlights from the Haughton Court  and Middlesex Churches. We hope that as you read and view you will be inspired to do your part wherever you are in the Conference. We are 21 days, 3 Weeks (as of Sabbath, December 29), away from the main event.

The activities below below are organized according to the time that they occured.

  1. Members of the Riverside congregation expressed their appreciation to the community members of that area, for their contribution to community development for more than 15 years on Sabbath, December 22, 2018. Among the 20 persons from the small rural community that were recognized were teachers, nurses and Church members who contributed to the growth of the congregation. Award categories included the areas of community service, sports, education and family. The awardees were each given a plaque, a certificate and were all treated to a banquet following the service.

  1. The Belmont Church in Westmoreland conducted a health fair on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the Church grounds.  Approximately 50 persons were catered to by the outreach effort. The community members were afforded free blood-pressure and blood-sugar checks, BMI  (Body Mass Index) calculation, health presentations, dental services and massage therapy.
