Four close circuit televisions were donated to the Harrison Memorial Preparatory school by Ideal Digital Security Solutions (I.D.S.S) company, based in Montego Bay Jamaica. The donation which took place on Thursday July 18, 2019, on the school compound came as a much needed gift for the institution, which endeavours to create a safe environment for both staff and students.
“Over the years we have been thinking of how to improve the security system of our school” said Mrs. Joan Brevitt, Principal of the Harrison Memorial Preparatory School. “Since the Ministry of Education has emphasized school safety, it has become even more imperative for us to get in line with technology. This gift will assist us to secure our property in a much more efficient way” she ended.
Prior to the gift, the school utilized a manual security system. However, thanks to the added technology, its security will be managed in a much more efficient way. Sales and Marketing Manager of I.D.S.S. Nordia Merchant, was excited that her company could contribute to the institution.
“We are delighted that we could take the initiative in making such a donation to the Harrison Memorial Preparatory School” she said. We saw this as a need to increase the level of security at Harrison Prep, because these are young children, the future of our country. I am sure that the wider population of staff and students will also benefit from such a donation.”
Chairman of the School Board, Pastor Donovan Williams was especially delighted about the donation of the new security equipment. He expressed his profound gratitude to the team.
“The safety, security and supervision of our children is of paramount importance” he stated. “The close circuit camera system will enhance this commitment. Special thanks to I.D.S.S. for partnering with Harrison Memorial Preparatory School” he ended.comments powered by Disqus
