The West Jamaica Conference territory mourns the passing of Sister Adlin Priscilla Bailey. Sister Bailey, the wife of Pastor Earle Bailey, died yesterday, June 25, 2018, at the age of 66 in the Mandeville Regional Hospital after a brief period of illness.
She shared a team ministry with her husband, to whom she was married for 32 years. The late shepherdess was actively involved in her husband’s Pastorate as she would preach, conduct health rallies, seminars and would bless the hearts of congregants with her melodious singing. This commitment was bolstered by her fervent faith in God, and as she would often say, “We serve a great, big, wonderful God.” These were sentiments echoed by her grieving yet hopeful husband.
Outside of her full-time occupation as a nurse practitioner, over the years she served the West Jamaica Conference territory alongside the laity: as president of the Community Services Federation in Hanover, Women’s Ministries Leader at the Santa Cruz Church and most recently the Health Association President for St. Elizabeth.
Sister Bailey will be sadly missed by her husband, son—Odane, members of the current and former congregations and the West Jamaica Conference territory and staff.
Details on the thanksgiving service will be shared, as soon as it becomes available.
