Adventist Community Service work to foster a strong public awareness of the Adventist Church as a caring, Christ-centered resource in the community through social services that includes health screening and education, inner city programs, family life education, disaster planning, tutoring for the under privileged children/youth, day care for both children and the aged, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, adult education, counseling, drug and alcohol awareness efforts, self help groups, meal on wheels, summer camps for disadvantaged children, activities to combat world hunger, conservation of the natural environment and AIDS education.
The goal of the Community Services Department of West Indies Union is to foster a collaboration between God and the Church to address the needs of the peoples of the region, so that the image of God may be restored in humanity.
By the grace of God, I will carry the gospel on the wheels of Community Services in my community.
